NATCHEZ — Services for James H. “Jim” Parker Jr., 47, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Parkview Church of God with the Rev. Victor Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Parker was born March 20, 1964, in Natchez, the son of James H. Parker Sr. and Pearline J. Parker. He was a member of the Parkview Church of God.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother of Natchez; one son, Joshua Kyle Parker of Vidalia; two sisters, Linda Reed of Natchez and Sandra Franks of Gravette, Ark.; one brother, Terry Parker of Caledonia; and a dear friend, Gary McIntosh.

Pallbearers will be Randy Beach, Bobby Patt, Jerry Warren, Guy Thompson, Douglas Thomas and Mike Goldbach.

Memorials may be made to Parkview Church of God Nehemiah Fund, Natchez.
