JONESVILLE — Services for Martha S. Smith, 87, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Moss Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville with the Rev. T.A. Baker Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Jonesville, the daughter of Lum and Delitha Wilson Smith. She was a member of the Pride of Jonesville Chapter No. 94 and the Herion of Jericho Court No. 25.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Samuel Fisher.

Survivors include three sons, Willie Smith and wife, Evelyn, of New Orleans, Wilbert Smith and wife, Marine, of San Diego, Calif., and Edward Smith of Jonesville; six daughters, Norma O’steen and husband, Johnny, Clara Smith, Francis Smith, Brenda Fisher and Wanda Fisher, all of Jonesville, and Carolyn Fisher of San Diego; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
