Mrs. Deborah H. Lyles announces the engagement of her daughter, Amber Thomasina Lyles to Jamaal M. Shannon, son of Linda F. Shannon Prater and the late Eugene Prater, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Mr. William “Tater” Lyles Sr. of Natchez.

She is a graduate of Natchez High School and is employed by Walgreens in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of the late Thomizene Martin and the late Walter Martin, both of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and is employed by PMI Offshore in Morgan City, La.

He is the grandson of Lucy Shannon of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
