FERRIDAY — A memorial gathering for Victoria Ulmer, 67, of Clayton, who died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Promise Hospital after an extended illness, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Comer Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Ulmer was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif., the daughter of Jesse and Edna Mandez Esparga. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ulmer was Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther Odell Ulmer; two brothers, Freddy and Frankie; and one sister, Eleanor.

Survivors include Tony, Manuel, Joe and Kenny; and special friends and caregivers, Donna and Ralph “Snapper” Brewer.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
