NATCHEZ — Services for Jean Beard Davis, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow at Shelton Cemetery in Copiah County under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Davis was born Feb. 20, 1932, in El Dorado, Ark., the daughter of Lawrence and Alice Attinger Beard.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clyde Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Geary Davis of Brookhaven and Donald Davis of Natchez; one granddaughter, Deborah Davis of Kingston, N.Y.; one grandson, Randy Davis of Brookhaven; one brother, Maurice Beard of Lafayette, La.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
