PERRYTOWN — Services for Prentiss Washington Barnes, 40, of Fort Wayne, Ind., who died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Perrytown.

Burial will follow at Free Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Doloroso under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mr. Barnes was born Oct. 17, 1970, in Natchez, the son of Willie Mae Washington and Carol Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wyatt Barnes; maternal grandparents, Willie J. Sr., and Pearleana Washington; three aunts, Berry Conales, Mary Hall and Martha Washington.

Survivors include his mother of Crosby; his father of Houston, Texas; paternal grandmother, Ruth Barnes of Doloroso; four sisters, Anyika Barnes of Rockville, Md., Tracee Belton of Webster, Texas, Mearapha Barnes of Houston and Gretel Washington of Arlington, Texas; four brothers, Dexter Washington of Canton, Stevie Burton of Arlington, Serca Barnes and Samuel Barnes, both of Houston; and a number of other relatives and friends.
