VIDALIA — Services for Debra Rae Curlee, 55, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at home with family and friends surrounding her, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home of Vidalia with Bro. Dwayne Thomas and Bro. Ken Swearingen officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Curlee was born on Jan. 17, 1956, in Monahans, Texas, the daughter of Claiborne and Annie Lois McCarty.

Debra was a resident of Vidalia and a member of Evangelical Methodist Church, and she attended Missionary Baptist Church of Vidalia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Eddie Hale.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Bruce Curlee III; one son Ray Bruce Curlee IV of Vidalia; two daughters, Shana Harrison and husband Jacob and Amber Graves and husband Justin, all of Vidalia; and five grandchildren, Jacob Harrison II, Chandler Harrison, Emma Graves, Carson Graves, Abby Graves and Chloe Curlee; four sisters, Kathy Merriett of Vidalia, Patty McCarty of Vidalia, Marie Brixley of Clayton and Loyce Hale of Vidalia; two brothers, Mike McCarty of Vidalia and Danny Hale of Vidalia; half brother Bill McCarty of Pocahontas, Ark.; half sisters Wanda Purdy of Tyler, Texas, and Linda Waymon of Pocahontas, Ark.

Pallbearers will be Danny Hale, Mike McCarty, Justin Graves, Jacob Harrison, Lane Merriett and Scott Swinny.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Turner, Jason Hebert, Brent Danielson, Chester Hoover, Mike Stricklin, Randal McFarland and Thomas Boyler.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Conference of Christians and Jews.
