POPLARVILLE — Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Poplarville for Mr. Paul N. Darby, Jr., 82, of Poplarville, who died Friday Sept. 2, 2011, in the care of his family. Burial will follow in the Poplarville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.

A native of Vidalia, he was born Feb. 20, 1929, to Paul N. and Cecile Olson-Darby. He was a retired safety engineer in the aerospace industry, an alumnus of the University of Arkansas, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Poplarville.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Couraud and her husband Jean Francois of Poplarville, and Macile Penton of Picayune; three granddaughters, Gina Bice Buras, Sheena Parris, and Robin Eiswirth; one grandson, Paul Penton; two great-granddaughters, Kelea Buras and Lydia Penton; and two great-grandsons, Stephen Kemper and Noah Eiswirth.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Darby in 2009.
