CLAYTON — Services for Ellen “June” Skipper, 63, who died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Sunnyside Church with Bro. Jerry Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday at Sunnyside Church
Ms. Skipper was born on Aug. 30, 1948, the daughter of Henry Lee Goodwin and Edna Lavenia Goodwin.
Ms. Skipper was a resident of Waterproof, a bookkeeper, prayer warrior and a member of Sunnyside Church.
Ms. Skipper was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lee Goodwin; her brother, Irvin Goodwin and her grandson, Chase Skipper.
Survivors include her mother, Edna Lavenia Goodwin of St. Joseph, La.; two children, Keith Skipper and his wife Carolyn and Kevin Skipper and his wife Linda, all of Clayton, La.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Smith and her husband Maurice of Pensacola, Fla., Marie Trevillion and her husband Anon of Waterproof, La., Mable Trevillion and her husband William of Waterproof, La., Wanda Hopkins and her husband J.E. of Waterproof, La., Henrietta Thompson and her husband Homer of Clayton, La.; and the father of her children, Raymond Skipper of Tensas Parish.
Pallbearers will be Barry Sharp, Freddie Hill, J.D. Beville, Ben Goodwin, Vernon E. White and Johnny Ray Goodwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.E. Hopkins, Anon Trevillion, William Trevillion, Samuel Skipper, Ronald Powers, Bill Harrell, Rob Rushing, Bubba Rushing and Terry Crochet.
