WARREN, Ark. — Services for Bernie Clyde Halley, 84, of Warren, Ark., who died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Frazer’s Funeral Home Chapel in Warren.

Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce Ark., under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Halley was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Warren, the son of Floyd Leon Halley and Elva Waller Halley. He was a retired employee with Potlatch Lumber Company with more than 50 years of service, starting in 1942.

He loved working and helping people. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Halley was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Rhoden Halley, who he married May 1, 1953, and died April 6, 2010; his parents; three brothers, Allen Hargis Halley, Howard Halley and F.L. Halley Jr.; and two sisters, Willie Mae Loetscher and Mattie Lee Woodson.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Halley and wife, Sandra, of Warren, Mark Halley and wife, Kathy, of Rowell, Ark., and Michael Halley and wife, Kathy, of Natchez; two daughters, Sharon Halley West and husband, Eddie, of Warren and Carita Halley Ryburn and husband, Bennie, of Monticello, Ark.; three sisters, Evelyn Glover of Chidester, Ark., Carolyn Vickers of Warren and Flora Belle Poe and Bentonville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
