NATCHEZ — Services for Rufus “Tucker” Gibson, 85, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrews African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington with the Rev. Anthony Colenburg officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include four sons, Willie Hunt and wife, Lisa, of Illinois, Aaron Gibson of New Jersey, Ronnie Gibson and David Gibson and wife, Mary, all of Natchez; five daughters, Betty Hunt, Patricia Bacon and husband, Warrenton, and Lucille Butler, all of Natchez, Marilyn Foster and husband, John, of Georgia and Patricia Lewis and husband, Andre, of Missouri; three sisters, Mary G. Williams and Mamie Gibson, both of Natchez, and Dorothy Campbell of Manchester, Mo.; two brothers, Leroy Gibson and James Gibson and wife, Freddie Mae, all of Natchez; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
