CENTREVILLE — In recent years, when Centreville Academy and Brookhaven Academy have faced each other, the outcome has been decided by either a game-winning touchdown or a game-saving tackle.

But on Friday night, the battle between two of the top teams in MAIS Class AA — the third-ranked Cougars and the fourth-ranked Tigers — was anything but another instant classic.

Centreville saw to that quickly. Led by Tyler Towles, Cliff Hurst and Colton Terrell, the Tigers jumped out to a 28-0 lead and rolled to a 41-14 win over Brookhaven Academy.
