NATCHEZ — A 22-year-old Ferriday man has been arrested by the Natchez Police Department and charged with kidnapping and sexual battery after allegedly sexually assaulting his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said Friday.
Mullins said Cornelius Robertson of 9171 U.S. 84 was arrested Thursday after the victim alleged he forced her into his car on East Franklin Street Thursday morning, drove her approximately a quarter of a mile away and sexually assaulted her.
Mullins said then Robertson took the victim to a house of her acquaintance where she called the police.
Mullins said she then met NPD at the station to file a report.
Mullins said there is no bond for Robertson until his arraignment, which, he said, will more than likely be Monday.
Robertson could face up to 60 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
