FERRIDAY — Services for Laura Davis Sherbia, 80, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. James Beverly and Dr. Eugene Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sherbia was born Jan 1, 1931, in Ferriday, the daughter of Washington Davis and Maggie Harris.

She was a retired nurse’s aide.

Sherba was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Michael Sherbia and Carol Curry; and one brother, Roosevelt Jenkins.

Survivors include three sons, Jessie Sherbia and wife Pamela of Marino Valley, Calif., Bobby Sherbia of Los Angeles, Ronald Martin of Cartersville, Ga.; four daughters, Patricia Sherbia, Lydia Evans and Kathy Martin, all of Ferriday, and Yvonne Martin of Cartersville; one brother, Eric Taylor and wife MaToya of Washington, D.C.; daughter-in-law Linda Sherbia of Ferriday; her companion Issac “Bo” Curry of Ferriday; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
