Ronald Jackson of Albany, N.Y., along with Stewart and Ellen Stafford of Dallas, announce the engagement of their daughter, LyTesia Jackson to Tranell Irving, son of Marie Irving and Denver Queen of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of North Spring High School in Atlanta and a graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas. She is employed by Gemstone Management & Consulting in Dallas as a communications manager.

She is the granddaughter of the late Louis Adams of Natchez and Alice Abraham of Keithville, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Henry Jackson of Albany.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of North Natchez High School and a graduate of Dallas Barber College. He is employed by Studio Essence Barber and Beauty Salon in Dallas.

He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Alonza Irving and the late Raiford Queen and Lucille Queen, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Greater Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
