FERRIDAY — Services for William “Bill” Bartlett, 72, of Alabaster, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at Chandler Health and Rehab in Alabaster, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bartlett was born Sept. 16, 1939, the son of Ralph and Veronica Mary Schepers. He was employed by Sears and Roebuck for 27 years as a delivery man.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Dee Bartlett; his parents; one daughter, Teresa Ann Bartlett; one granddaughter, Tiffany Nicole Butts; and three brothers, John Patrick Bartlett, Robert Bartlett and Wayne Morris Schepers.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammie Chafton and husband, John, of Alabaster and Tanya Ledet and husband, Damon, of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Pfc. Joel Dewayne Shiers, Pvt. William Anthony Butts, Amber Shiers, Richard Lavaughn Butts, Randy Chafton and Veronica Danielle Ledet; two brothers, William Roland Schepers and James Hardy Schepers; and one sister, Elizabeth Susan Bonnette.
Pallbearers will be David Loyed, James Earl Loyed, Chuck Loyed, Bill Stahlman, Tommy Loyed, Randy Chafton and Richard Butts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pfc. Joel Dewayne Shiers, Pvt. William Anthony Butts and William Schepers.
