LAUREL — Graveside services for Eva L. Roller, 88, of Collinsville, Texas, who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the Homestead of Collinsville in Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Eva was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Laurel, the daughter of Daniel A. and Ida Jackson Herring. She attended Laurel schools and married G.R. Lindsey in July 1940, in Laurel. In later years, she married Donald Roller of Purvis.
Mrs. Roller worked as a secretary for Laurel Hoe Factory. She also worked for Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company and Sears in Natchez, from which she retired.
Mrs. Roller was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Natchez. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women Association in Natchez. She actively participated in the pilgrimage and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Eva was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother. She always enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and plants. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Roller was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, G.R. Lindsey; and one daughter, Angela Lindsey.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Roller; three daughters, Janice McCoy Segina of Clute, Texas, Pam L. Montgomery of Angelton, Texas and Karen Lindsey of Collinsville, Texas; one son, Richard Lindsey of Woodstock, Ga.; six grandchildren, Brandon Montgomery, Lindsey Downs, Kayla Shumpert, David Shumpert, Charlotte Shumpert, all of Texas, and Cally Shumpert of Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Kasen Shumpert, Lily Wright and Courtland Downs, all of Texas; one brother, Dan Herring and wife, Geneva, of Ellisville; and a number of nieces and nephe
