WILDSVILLE, La. — Services for John Myles, 83, of Wildsville, La., who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the Columns Community Care Center in Jonesville, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Old Daughters Baptist Church in Wildsville with the Rev. T.A. Baker Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Myles was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Wildsville, the son of Chester and Ernestine Holmes Myles.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Bowie Myles; two sons, Elmo Myles and wife, Barbara, and John Michael Myles, all of Wildsville; three daughters, Wilma Jones and husband, George, of Ferriday, Bobby Woods and husband, Larry, of Jonesville and Angela Davis and husband, Leroy, of Allen, Texas; two brothers, Elijah Myles and Charlie Myles, both of Wildsville; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
