HAUGHTON, La. — Celebration of life service for Davis Bunch was held at First Baptist Church in Haughton on Sept. 21, 2011. The celebration moved to Stanton Baptist Church with interment following at The Forest Cemetery in Natchez.
Davis entered into restful peace in the early morning of Sept. 18, 2011. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church. Davis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His passion was winning souls for Jesus with his ministry “Fishing for a Reason, Jesus.” He loved serving others and volunteered with Bossier Sheriff Posse, East 80 Fire Department, Haughton Fire Department and countless activities sponsored by churches in the area.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Fredrick Bunch Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Joy of Haughton; one son, George Davis Bunch Jr., and one daughter, Morgan Bunch, both of Natchez; one step son, Ryan Robinson, and one step daughter, Faith Wilson, both of Haughton; mother, Helen Ratcliff and step father, A. M. Ratcliff of Natchez; two brothers, James and twin brother, Dunbar Bunch.
Pallbearers for the Natchez service were Matt Smith, Terrell Foster, Juston Foster, Pat Smith, John Kemmerdeiner, Red “Uncle Buck” Owens, Kelly Johnson and Purvis Wilson.
