NATCHEZ — Services for Rosa Lee Jenkins, 75, of Natchez, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Jenkins was born July 26, 1936, in Sicily Island, the daughter of Andrew Henry and Mary Chester. She was an ordained Baptist minister in Louisiana.

Survivors include one son, John Jenkins; one stepson, Joseph Plater; one brother, Horace Chester; nine special nieces and nephews who were her primary caregivers, Rosie Johnson and husband, Arthur, Patricia Jefferson and husband, Connie, Carmen Williams and husband, Timothy, Chester Davis, Darnell Davis, Richard Davis and wife, Janice, Iva R. Jackson, Maurice Hayes and Donald Davis; two godsons, Peter Knight and William Skinner; three good friends, Lucille Martin, Georgia Buford and Cora Hoye; and a number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
