NATCHEZ — Services for Sallie Ruby Jamison, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Spruce Derden officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Sunday, both at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jamison was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Jena, La., the daughter of Willie Edward and Maudie Belle Clark Smith Edward. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was retired from Blue Garment Factory.

Mrs. Jamison loved her garden and flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie Jamison; four brothers, Shelby, Tommy, Willie Alfred and Vernon Smith; and one great-grandson, Dakota Brasher.

Survivors include one daughter, Sallie Tapley and husband, Danny, of Natchez; two sons, Dale Jamison and wife, Linda, of Vidalia and Terry “Buster” Jamison of Natchez; one sister, Nan Dickson of Natchez; five grandchildren, Christina Harrison and husband, Lance, and Tracey Nichols, all of Memphis, Tenn., Rachel Tapley of Jackson, Monica Earnest of Natchez and Amber Sturgill of Jackson; nine great-grandchildren, Colton and Cody Earnest and baby D.J. Seyfarth, on the way, all of Natchez, Ayden Barnes and Danni Sturgill, both of Jackson, Chad Nettles of Gilbert, La., Tyler, Cody, Timothy and Jake Brown, all of Rivertown, Wyo.; one great-great-grandson, Keithen Nettles of Gilbert; three sisters-in-law, Velma Jamison and Ann Smith, both of Natchez, and Irene Jamison of Hazlehurst; a very special friend, Bobbie Rouse; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Collier, Brian Seyfarth, C.P. Cavin, Ralph Smith, Bobby Smith and Keith “Buzz” Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Freeman and Vic Scott.
