VIDALIA — The Miss-Lou Housing Committee — and any interested party — will meet at noon Thursday to discuss woes in the local housing market and begin mapping out solutions to the problems.
The committee is a branch of the Miss-Lou Regionalism Steering Committee and met once in August.
Committee member Liz Brooking said the group hopes to gain momentum with this second meeting.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be in the Concordia Bank Community Room in Vidalia.
Those who attend are encouraged to bring their own lunch if they’d like, or call Brooking to order a sack lunch from Big Mama’s for $5. Brooking can be reached at 601-807-5618.
“We want people to get involved that have any interest at all in housing, from a business standpoint, as landlord, tenant, government or not,” Brooking said.
“We just need everyone to help us address the issues we have. Most of us know the problems but don’t know how to tackle them.”
Those who want to order lunch should call Brooking by 5 p.m. today.
