VIDALIA — Services for Fred Lee Trujillo, 67, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Vidalia First Assembly of God.
Burial will follow at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church.
Mr. Trujillo was born June 13, 1944, in Trinidad, Colo., the son of Eddie and Annie Cordova. He was a member of Vidalia First Assembly of God and had served as a deacon for four years. He drove the truck for “Feed the Hungry” for a number of years.
Mr. Trujillo received The Natchez Democrat’s 2009 Unsung Hero Award.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Landon Vinet and Christopher Stephens; and one brother, Gary Cardova.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Jean Trujillo; one daughter, Crystal Warren and husband, Wesley, of Vidalia; three sons, Richard Trujillo and wife, Carol, of Vidalia, Charles Stephens and wife, Sandy, of Aurora, Colo., and Steve Trujillo and wife, Susan, of Vidalia; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Brandenburger, Ritchie Trujillo, KC Trujillo, Jamie Trujillo, Jesselyn Simon, Kaylea Trujillo, Shelbie Vinet, Seth Vinet, Josh Warren, Jordan Warren, Jody Warren, Tyler Hayes and Bridget Hayes; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Charles Stephens, Richard Trujillo, Steve Trujillo, Alan Holland, Hunter Thorton and Ritchie Trujillo.
Honorary pallbearers will be KC Trujillo, Wesley Warren, James Nix and CJ Bonnette.
