NATCHEZ — Services for Cornelius Johnson, 72, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. James Fallon officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was employed by Domino Sugar Refinery in New Orleans. He was retired.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Mae Johnson; his father, Cornelius Carter Sr.; four brothers, Frank Dent Sr., Gelonia Dent, Hamlin Dent and James Carter; and one sister, Katie Mae Jones.

Survivors include one brother, Will T. Carter of Mabelton, Ga.; two sisters, Deloris Carter of New Orleans and Celia Ann Wilson of Atlanta; five children, Paula, Troy, Tyrone, Kelvin and Lynn; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family members.
