HATTIESBURG — Memorial services for Michael Eugene Blanchard, 60, of Hattiesburg, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at his residence, will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel in Hattiesburg.

A Liturgy of the Word and visitation will follow.

Mike was born April 2, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Eugene A. and Evelyn N. Blanchard. He attended and graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. He worked in the golf business all of his life. He loved the game, both teaching and playing.

Mike was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda McBee Blanchard; two daughters, Michelle Blanchard Emrick and husband, Bert, and Catherine Blanchard Beasley and husband, Patrick, all of Madison; two grandchildren, Aaron Emrick and Kylie Emrick, both of Madison; his mother of Lima; one sister, Carolyn Blanchard Bohnlein and husband, Jim, of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Ken Blanchard and Rick Blanchard and wife, Becky, all of Lima; and a number of nieces, nephews and relatives.
