Tuesday, Oct. 11

Trenton David Earl pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Forest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After receiving full credit for any time already served in the Adams County Jail, the remaining balance to be served on post-release supervision, with the first five years to be on formal supervised post-release supervision through the Mississippi Department of Corrections, and the remaining five years to be informal non-supervised post-release supervision. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200.

Monday, Oct. 10

James Jumar Fields was previously sentenced to serve a term of six years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to burglary of a storehouse. The court further retained jurisdiction for one year fro placement in the Regimented Inmate Discipline program. Judge Johnson’s court was advised that the defendant successfully completed the R.I.D. program. The balance of the sentence is suspended, with the defendant placed on post-release supervision with the Mississippi Department of Corrections for five years. Must pay all court costs and restitution of $1,250 promptly.

Monday, Oct. 3

Curtis Holder was indicted on Aug. 25, 2010, for embezzlement. Case entered nolle prosequi in Judge Johnson’s court for the reason that the defendant successfully completed the Pretrial Intervention Program.

Robert Earl Bates, 18, charged with simple assault – domestic violence. Case remanded to files subject to both parties completing anger management.

Michael J. Wiley Jr., 18, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. Case remanded to files. No one showed for trail again.

Lacrecia Corey, 35, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $444.

Charles McKnight, 52, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days. Fine set at $444. McKnight was also charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files at request of officer Godbold. No subpoenas served. McKnight was also charged with malicious mischief. Case dismissed at request of victim.

Michael Johnese, 36, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Total fine set at $271.64.

Kenneth Dewayne McKnight, 22, pleaded guilty to fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $444.

Eddie Ray Flowers pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Ordered to attend anger management and alcohol management. Fine set at $594.
