NATCHEZ — Melanie Sojourner is leading the District 37 race with 51 percent of the vote to Sen. Bob Dearing’s 49 percent.

Sojourner’s camp is reporting that she has 9,592 votes while Dearing has 9,083 votes with all precincts reporting.

Sojourner said the race is still too close to call.

Approximately 2,000 absentees are not counted.
