NATCHEZ — Services for Virginia Wade Terrell, 83, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Terrell was born June 17, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of Manson and Mary Wade. She was a homemaker and served as secretary at Sunflower Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weaverton Terrell; one daughter, Willie Mae Perry; one son Joseph Terrell; and her parents.
Survivors include five sons, Weaverton Terrell Jr. and wife, Joanne, Robert Lee Terrell and wife, Nellie, Jesse Terrell and wife, Gretta, Willam Terrell and Charles Terrell; six daughters, Emma Stander and husband, Jerry, Linda Johnson and husband, Willie, Ida Terrell, Janice Brown, Audria Anderson and husband, Tommy, and Peggy Stewart and husband, Robert; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Irving; one brother, Manson Wade and wife, Lula Mae; her little helper, Chauaris Martin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
