NATCHEZ — The Natchez Garden Club is ready to welcome the public to the annual Victorian Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia Hall.

Luncheon chairman Paige Carter said attending the event is a good way to get into the Christmas season, eat good food and be with friends.

Jo Ann Herrington, president of NGC, said everyone is invited to come dine, or get boxes to go.

“One of the reasons to come — it’s a tradition,” Herrington said. “We’ve had it for years, and we see a lot of the same people. The food of course, is outstanding, all made by our members, and the house is decorated beautifully. You can really get into the spirit of Christmas.”

While you visit with your friends and fill up on the holiday treats at the Victorian Luncheon, don’t forget the annual soup and casserole sale will be ongoing in the back gallery of Magnolia Hall.

Casseroles will be sold at $20 for large and $12 for small, while soups are $5 per pint or $10 per quart container, all made by club members. Now is the time to stock up for the holidays.

Carter said all funds raised at the luncheon will be used for the restoration of the two Natchez Garden Club properties — the House on Ellicott Hill and Magnolia Hall.

Invite your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy this annual holiday event.

Tickets to the Victorian Luncheon are $12 and may be purchased at the door, or in the Natchez Garden Club office during business hours, located at 215 South Pearl St., in Natchez. Purchasing 10 or more tickets will bring the price down to $10 a piece. To-go boxes will be available, and deliveries can be accommodated. Call 601-442-6672 for more information.
