Well, we certainly hope the Christmas cheer is beginning to overcome you.
You can’t say the Miss-Lou hasn’t provided plenty of opportunities to get in the spirit.
Christmas is taking center stage these days, dominating our weekdays and weekends. Let’s review some of the holiday cheer — and other good headlines — from the last week.
– Christmas parades rolled in Natchez, Vidalia and Ferriday this weekend, showering children with candy and smiles.
– The Trinity Episcopal Day School Quiz Bowl team has a big match coming soon. Murphy Aldridge, Sarah Simmons, Sarah Rodriguez, Wesley Gore and Joseph McClatchy will compete in the state championship tournament for the Mississippi High School Quiz Bowl in January. Congratulations to these students for making it this far, and good luck next month.
– Christmas at Melrose offered an educational trip back in time this weekend. Participants learned about Christmases past while they enjoyed some modern-day cheer.
– The Trinity Holiday Bazaar and Merry Market was a great venue for local businesses and vendors to sell their wares Saturday. We are glad local organizations are finding a way to remind us all to shop local.
If you’ve missed out on the holiday fun so far, don’t worry, plenty more is coming.
