NATCHEZ — Services for Juanita Verucchi Hall, 88, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at the Magnolia House in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating.
Burial will follow at the Hall family plot at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hall was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Natchez, the daughter of John Ernest Verucchi and Laura Ruth Stroud Verucchi. Juanita lost her mother in a tragic accident when she was only 11. She married William R. “Billy” Hall in 1940, and they were married until his death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her youngest son, Keith, in 2010.
After a career as a homemaker and when her children were grown, she went to beauty school and began her career as a beautician. She was noted for her sweet disposition and warm, loving, gentle nature.
She is survived by her four children, William R. Hall Jr. of Mason, Tenn., Gail Hall Smith and husband, Elmer, of Greensboro, Ga., John E. Hall of Clermont, Fla., and Faye Hall Basemore and husband, Jimmy, of Natchez; two half siblings, Sonia Verucchi Blaney of Natchez and John Verucchi of Lafayette, La.; nine grandchildren, Perry Hall, Laura Hall Seymour, Amy Hall Coombs, Rene Smith Liberto, Elmer Smith III, Uriah Hall, Jason Thomas, Kevin Thomas and Ryan Thomas; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
