FERRIDAY — Services for Melynda Ann Irvin, 45, of Pineville, La., who died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, in Alexandria, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Ms. Irvin was born March 4, 1966, in Natchez, the daughter of H.L. Irvin Jr. and Pat Irvin.
She was a graduate of Huntington High School and completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Louisiana College. She was the emergency room nurse manager at Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet before retiring in 2001 due to the onset of illness.
Ms. Irvin was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ruby and H.L. Irvin Sr.; maternal grandparents, Louis and Elsie Snyder; and one aunt, Gayla Irvin.
Survivors include her mother, Pat Irvin; her father, H.L. Irvin Jr. and wife, Joy; one sister, Melissa Bolen and husband, Britt; one nephew, Brandon Kyle Bolen; one niece, Brittany Ann Bolen; one uncle, Butch Snyder; and her loving puppy, Remme’ Kay.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Craig, Hyram Copeland, Britt Bolen, Bill Beasley, Charles Brakenridge, Henry Louis Jr., Joe Irvin and Joe Webber.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Odenwald, James King, Seth Moore, William Coleman, Billy Rucker, Bill Colvin and Bill Clifton.
