NATCHEZ — Services for Daniel Roberts, 30, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in Port Barre, La., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Everett Ellzey officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberts was born Oct. 12, 1981, in Natchez, son of James David Roberts and Pamela Jean Wilson Roberts. Mr. Roberts was employed by Evans Logging Company. He loved his children with all his heart. He had a big heart and a great sense of humor and was a meat-and-potatoes man. He loved to eat and lived and breathed logging. He was a wonderful family man and a big brother to all of his brothers. He will always be loved and missed.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George L. Wilson.

Survivors include his three children, James Devin Roberts, Annalei Kay Roberts and Laura Renee Roberts, all of Natchez; father, David Roberts and wife, Lavada Roberts, of Vidalia; mother, Pam Roberts of Natchez; two brothers, Bryan Roberts and Josh Roberts of Natchez; one stepbrother, B.J. LaPrairie; one stepsister, Angela LaPrairie of Vidalia; paternal grandparents, Donald and Joyce Roberts of Natchez; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces; one great niece and a number of special friends.

Pallbearers will be Steven Wilson, John Sanders, Michael Wilson, Ricky Hall, Michael “Rip” Evans and John Foy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Mizell, Patrick Delaughter and David Williams.
