WOODVILLE — Services for Mrs. Willie Ray McCarstle, 94, of Woodville, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Muncy officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. McCarstle was born Nov. 2, 1917, in Woodville, the daughter of Major Scott and Olivia Johnson Scott. She was a lifelong member of Woodville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. She was retired from the Town of Woodville.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. McCarstle was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. McCarstle; one sister, Major Speaker; two brothers, Grantham Scott and Davis Scott; and one son-in-law, Anthony Lomonaco.

Survivors include one son, Clifton McCarstle and wife, Katie, of Natchez; one daughter, Donnis Lomonaco of Lake Charles, La.; one grandson, Clifton McCarstle and wife, Melanie, of Tulsa, Okla.; one granddaughter, Anna Rodrigue and husband, Todd, of Lafayette; and three great-grandchildren, Caroline, Avery and Grant Rodrigue, all of Lafayette.

Pallbearers will be David Bramlette, Bob Redhead, Larry Scott, Charles Henry Fairchild, Paul Arnold and Tillery Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Theodore McCarstle, Wayne McCarstle, Mitchell Whitaker and Dr. David McGraw.
