NATCHEZ — For the second time this week, the varsity soccer games between Natchez High and Cathedral have been postponed. This time, bad weather Thursday morning was the reason for the games being wiped out.
Cathedral head coach Dennis Hogue said he got a call from principal Pat Sanguinetti Thursday morning that the varsity girls’ game, which was supposed to start at noon, and the varsity boys’ game, which was to begin at 1:30 p.m., were not going to take place. Heavy rains and strong thunderstorms battered the Miss-Lou, resulting in poor playing conditions.
Hogue said the games will not be rescheduled until after the holidays. When the games are rescheduled, they will still take place at Cathedral.
