ROCKPORT, Ind. — Services for Betty Jane Kitchen, 67, of Rockport, Ind., who died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with the Rev. Joe Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kitchen was a member of Rockport American Legion Post 254.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kitchen; one daughter, Krystal Kitchen; her parents, Vernon and Ethel Heffron of Syracuse, N.Y.; and two sisters, Shirley McGill and Janet Schlie, both of New York.

Survivors include one son, Jeffery Kitchen and wife, Joy, of Natchez; two grandsons, Brian Nettles and partner, Brian Blohm, of Ingleside, Ill., and Virgil Bonds and wife, Cheryl, of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Michaela Bonds and Layden Bonds; four siblings, Donnie Heffron, Gary Heffron and Edith Heffron, all of New York, and Pete Heffron of Florida; three special friends dear to her heart, Virginia Segrest, Jean Ratcliff and Vivin Webb, all of Natchez; and a number of extended family members and friends dear to her.
