NATCHEZ — Services for Earlene P. Jackson, 87, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, in Vicksburg, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Jackson was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Monticello, the daughter of James Martin Pennington and Ruby Lambert Pennington. She attended Highland Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Jackson Sr.; one son, James Howard Jackson Jr.; one daughter Alice Faye Wiggins; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Kemp and Sonya Braswell and husband, Herbert; two sisters, Eva Young and husband Charles and Nita Faye Cain; three brothers, James Pennington and wife, Cora, Kenneth Ray Pennington and wife, Deborah, and Bill Pennington and wife, Pat; five grandchildren, Jamie Patterson and husband, Jason, Michael Wiggins and wife, Jaime, Sherry Loffler and husband, Ivan, Tonya Sloan and husband, Steve, Shannon Wilson and husband, Purvis; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Gamberi, Jerry Harper, Thomas Swaggart, Jonathon Wilson, Purvis Wilson and Robert Atwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George E. Abraham II, Dr. David Halinski, Bobby Cox and Jack Cox.
