FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Mary Jane Britt Jackson, 59, of Wisner, La., who died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Michael Cowan officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackson was born March 12, 1952, in Wisner, the daughter of Walter Oliver Britt and Margie Bailey. She was a florist and beautician.

Mrs. Jackson enjoyed making beautiful things and making the people she loved beautiful.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Pete Britt.

Survivors include her mother; four sons, Sammy Jackson and wife, Leslie, George Jackson and wife, Athena, Shane Jackson and wife, Donna, and Jason Jackson and wife, Debbie; 16 grandchildren, Kyle Jackson and wife, Jamie, Heather Barrera and husband, Martin, Ashley, Lacey, Rebekah, Morgan, Trent, Hannah, Vegas, Emily, Jessica, Haley, Brett, Brooke, Kelsie and Jordan; seven great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Christopher, Marcus, Sean, Benjamin, Makelah and Annalynn; four brothers, John Britt, Chris Britt, Eugene Britt and James Britt; three sisters, Darlene Britt, Lisa Loo and Patricia Stoneberger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
