NATCHEZ — A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were charged Wednesday in connection with the Sunday morning armed robbery of a man on Bishop Street.
Natchez Police Department investigator Juan McDonald said Jamauri McNealy, 16, 305-A Watts Ave., and Derrick Green, 17, 5 Garden St., were charged as adults with one count of armed robbery each.
McNealy and Green, allegedly wielding a shotgun and a handgun respectively, reportedly robbed a man of the porch of an acquaintance of the man.
The boys reportedly took $150 in cash and a $200 gold chain from the victim and fled.
McDonald said the victim identified one of the suspects, and further investigation led to the apprehension of the second suspect. No bond has been set.
