ROXIE — Services for Willie John Shorts Sr., 84, of Winnsboro, La., who died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Methodist Church in Roxie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.

Mr. Shorts was a logger.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Shorts; one son, Willie J. Shorts Jr., both of Winnsboro; three sisters, Geneva Brown, Augustine Holloway and Jessie Peterson; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
