NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman was arrested Wednesday on charges claiming she started a fire at her residence in November.

Joyce Norton, 40, 11 Jason Court, was booked at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on charges of arson.

According to reports at the ACSO, deputies were dispatched to 11 Jason Court at 1:17 p.m. Nov. 11 in response to a fire at that address.

The investigation into the fire determined there was enough evidence at the scene to charge Norton with arson, reports said.

The investigation is still ongoing.
