FERRIDAY — Services for Gus McGee, 44, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rufus Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at Pure Light Cemetery in Foules, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. McGee was born June 28, 1967, in Pineville, La., the son of Gus Robinson and Ollie Mae McGee Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph Brown.

Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Martin and Jessica Lewis, both of Clayton; three brothers, Willie McGee and wife, Debra, Roosevelt Murray and wife, Carolyn, all of Ferriday, and Johnnie L. Washington and wife, Elaine, of New Orleans; four sisters, Laura Bowman, Lula Washington-Allen, both of Ferriday, Theresa Washington and husband, Luther, of Atlanta and Mary L. Moore of Kansas City, Kan.; one aunt, Jessie Taylor of Monticello; one uncle, Richard Martin of Key West, Fla.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
