NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Michael Scott Byrd, 25, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Reed officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Scott was born May 3, 1986, in Natchez, the son of Michael Forrest Byrd and Regina Gail O’Gwin Byrd.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Max Byrd; paternal grandmother, Geraldine Byrd; maternal grandmother, Virginia O’Gwin; and one cousin, Todd Lipscomb.

Survivors include his father of Vidalia and mother of Natchez; one daughter, Lily Byrd of Vidalia; one brother, Landon Byrd of North Carolina; paternal grandfather, Forrest Byrd of Vidalia; maternal grandfather, Howard O’Gwin of Natchez; two aunts, Kay Deville and husband, Jerry, of Houma, La., and Jan Lipscomb and husband, Randy, of Vidalia; one uncle, Gary Byrd and wife, Billie, of Natchez; and eight cousins, Lance Byrd, Allan Byrd, Emily Byrd Burke, Stephen Lipscomb, Jamie Lipscomb, Sean O’Gwin, Ben O’Gwin and Kelly O’Gwin.
