NATCHEZ — Memorial services for William Asa “Sandy” Fowlkes IV, 65, of Natchez, who died Dec. 20, 2011, at his residence, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Elms Court, home of Ann MacNeil, 542 John R. Junkin Drive in Natchez with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Mr. Fowlkes was born March 22, 1946, in Millington, Tenn., the son of William Asa Fowlkes III and Carol Elaine Tisdale Fowlkes. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Winchester, Tenn., Xi Chi-Phi Mu Alpha fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa. He was also past president of the Natchez Opera Festival of Music and a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Who’s Who Among American Students in American Universities and Colleges, the Krewe of Phoenix and Boy Scouts of America (Order of the Arrow.)
Survivors include his mother of Winchester; two brothers, Rick Fowlkes of Mesa, Ariz., and Mike Fowlkes of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters, Sharon Fowlkes, Janice Stephens and Vicki Frye-Fowlkes, all of Winchester; six nephews, Sean Fowlkes, Troy Fowlkes, A.J. Fowlkes, Chris Robbins, Russell Godfrey and Daniel Godfrey; and two nieces, Stacy Huguez and Kelly Fowlkes.
