MISSOURI CITY, Texas — Cary Clifford “KK” Harris, 63, of Missouri City, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Harris was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Hayes Harris II and Sarah Ruby Harris.
Cary was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War earning the Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device for Heroism with one Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal along with a number of other commendations.
He was employed by AT&T, Fisk of Houston, Texas and retired from Exxon Mobile.
Cory was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Edith Harris; one daughter, Liane Michelle Long; three grandsons, Joseph Long, Justin Ray and Jaleel Ray; blended family, one son, Ronnie Jr.; one daughter, Mandi; one grandson, Edward; and four granddaughters, Jazmin, Nikki, Kali and Shea; eight siblings, Ruth Bailey and husband, John, Cheryl Brinkley and husband, Henry, Hayes Harris III and wife, Christine, James Harris, Susan Harris Lorna Anderson, Keith Harris and wife, Crystal, and David Harris; and a number of relatives and friends.
