OWENSBORO, Ky. — Services for Anna Lee Kirby “Tootsie” Martin, 89, of Owensboro, Ky., who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at her residence, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, Ky., under the direction of Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro.
Mrs. Martin was born in Warren County, Ky., the daughter of Henry Curtis and Ruby Cosby Kirby. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and was active in the New Beginnings Sunday School class. She was also a member of the administrative board, needlepoint committee, worship committee and the congregational care committee.
Tootsie was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gordon Martin and her parents.
Survivors include two children, Anne Moseley and husband, David, of Owensboro and Lee Martin and wife, Deborah, of Natchez; and four grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Martin and wife, Lizzie, of New Orleans, Geoffrey Martin of Oxford, Addie Moseley of Louisville, Ky., and Sarah Moseley Azevedo and husband, Billy, of Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 E. Fourth St., Owensboro, KY 42303, the Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
