ZACHARY, La. — Services for Lee Marsille “Irene” Hickman, 80, a homemaker, resident and native of Zachary, La., who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church in Slaughter, La., with Bishop Oren Ruth Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home in Clinton, La.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hickman Jr.; one son, Johnny Hickman III; her father, Andrew Rice; and one brother, Donald Rice.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Rice, Julia Dinet and husband, Stanley, Lizzie Brown and husband, Joseph, all of Zachary, and Martha Johnson and husband, Martin, of Slaughter, La.; two sons, William Lionel Rice and wife, Terry, of Amite, La., and Samuel Hickman and wife, Accelyn, of Houston, Texas; her mother, Martha Rice of Natchez; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and relatives.
