DOLOROSO — Services for Wilbert Turner, 82, of Doloroso, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the LATAC Hospital of E. Feliciana in Clinton, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Free Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. George Norflin officiating.

Burial will be noon Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Turner was born May 11, 1929, in Doloroso, the son of Henry Turner and Mariah Boyd Barnes.

Mr. Turner was a Korean War veteran, earning a Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include six brothers, Pearo Barnes, Eugene Barnes and wife, Alice, Abraham Barnes and wife, Glenda, all of Baton Rouge, George Barnes and wife, Carrell, of Dallas, Willie Turner and Walter Turner and wife, Hilda, all of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Margaret Elie and husband, Joseph, of Baton Rouge, Jessie Sewell of Zachary, La., Luticia Williams and Floridastine Ivory, both of Natchez, and Margaret Moore of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
