Trinide Lavette Griffin

CANNONSBURG — Services for Trinide Lavette Griffin, who died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion Mount Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hawkins Sr. officiating.
Services are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Little Miss Trinide was born Jan. 19, 2012, in Baker, La., the daughter of Tracy Griffin and Clyde Jackson Jr.
She came into this world being strong, fighting for her precious life. The family came together and bonded closely with her, and we thank God for the time we were able to share with her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sandy and Elizabeth Griffin, Sylvester Rumbles, and Mary Saddler; two aunts, Patricia Lavette Proby and Sandra Lee Davis.
Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Alma Lee and Will T. Tenner, Dewitte Rumbles, Nicole Griffin, Sarah Barker, and Clyde Jackson Sr.; six aunts, Dorothy Bruce and husband, Coleman, Genora Norman, Gloria Nelson, Patricia Tenner and husband, Roosevelt Sr., Priscilla Tenner and husband, Corneilous, and Betty Jean Thomas; two uncles, Garfield Griffin and wife, Mamie and Sandy Griffin Jr.; and godparents, Anthony “Chuck” Carter and Kristina “Byrd” Carter; god sister, Kristianity “Pooh-Pooh” Carter; and a number of other aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family extends special recognition to Dr. Erin Bourgeois and all of the NICU staff at The Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge for a job well done in making things a lot easier during this difficult time.
