CLAYTON — Memorial services and burial for Mae Belle Cockrell Keenan, 67, of Clayton, who died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, after a lengthy illness at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be at the Keenan Family Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Keenan was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Mobile, Ala.
She was a resident of Clayton, owner and operater of Maitland Greenhouse and was of the baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Keenan of Clayton; one daughter, Marilyn Keenan of Gulfport; one son, Donald Keenan and wife, Amanda, of West Monroe, La.; one sister, Era Lea Neely and husband, Burkett; two grandchildren, Riley and Bryar Keenan; and four nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the medical services at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, the Neuro Medical Center in Baton Rouge, and the Camille Hospice staff.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ferriday Garden Club because of her love for plants.
